Good morning all!
Quick race update from last Thursday, as we spent the time pre-practice dodging rain drops. We managed to get both in, and fought some looseness in both sessions, but managed to get it tighter for out heat race. We went a little too far, but still wound up finishing in 3rd, qualifying straight through to the feature.
Come feature time, we started outside pole. We couldn't fire off how we wanted, so we started a few cars back at the green, and some contact from a car inside after we fell behind brought out a caution. We had fired off again, this time a little better, but dropped back to 7th within the first 5 laps, and rode there until about 10 to go, where we caught back up to the 5th and 6th place car. We ultimately settled for 7th, and brought the car home in one piece!
This Thursday is the final Thursday night race of the season, where we'll see the spectator drags towards the tail end of the night. Come Sunday, we will be taking the ACT race off to focus on cracking the top 10 of Thunder Road points.
Post Time for Thursday's event is the usual 7pm.
